Artist Agreement

Last updated October 4, 2026

This is the agreement between you, the artist, and The Favor Collective, run by Constantine Consulting LLC. By creating your site, you agree to it. It's written to be read, so please do.

Your free website

We build and host your artist website at no cost: your own web address, a place to show and sell your art, and tools to help you write about it. There’s no monthly fee. We review each new site with you before it goes public.

Supporting the Collective

  • You choose a share of each artwork price, from 0 to 30%, that supports The Favor Collective. The suggested amount is 10%. You can change it in Settings at any time, and the change applies to new sales.
  • The share is figured on the artwork price only, never on shipping.
  • The Collective’s share is sent to the Stripe account the Collective chooses to receive it, which is currently Sharese Favor’s account. When Sharese sells her own art, there’s no Collective share.
  • Buyers see a short note on the piece page, like “10% of this sale supports The Favor Collective.” It’s hidden when your share is 0%.

Getting paid and card fees

  • Buyers pay by card or other methods through Stripe. To get paid, you complete Stripe’s short setup, and Stripe’s own terms for connected accounts apply to you.
  • Stripe charges a card processing fee on each sale, usually about 2.9% plus 30 cents of the total, including shipping. The fee comes out of your part. We use the actual fee Stripe charges, which can vary a little by card or payment type.
  • Your part of each sale is the total paid, minus the Collective share, minus the card fee. It’s sent to your Stripe account after the sale, and Stripe pays it out to your bank.
  • If a sale is refunded or disputed, the matching amount may be taken back from your Stripe account.
  • You’re an independent artist, not an employee, and you’re responsible for taxes on your sales.

Your art stays yours

You keep full ownership and copyright of your art, photos, and words. You give The Favor Collective a free, non-exclusive permission to display, resize, and show them on your site and across The Favor Collective (including the home page, artist list, and search) while your site is up. You can remove any piece at any time.

Please only upload work and photos you have the right to share. Our writing helpers draft text only from your own answers, and you decide what to use.

Accuracy

You’re responsible for what your site says: titles, sizes, materials, prices, availability, and your story. Please read any drafted text before you use it, and keep sold pieces marked as sold.

Delivery, shipping, and returns

  • When a piece sells, you get an email with the buyer’s details. Please contact them promptly to arrange pickup, delivery, or shipping.
  • If you offer shipping, you pack and ship the piece carefully, for the shipping price you set.
  • You agree to honor our Refund and Return Policy and our Terms of Sale.

Taking a site offline

  • You can ask us to take your site offline or delete it at any time by emailing john@johnaconstantine.com.
  • We may take a site offline if listings are inaccurate, orders aren’t being fulfilled, the content is unlawful or harmful, or these terms aren’t being followed. Where we can, we’ll talk with you first.
  • If we ever stop offering the program or change these terms, we’ll let you know ahead of time.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email, so please keep your email account secure. You can add helpers, like family or friends, who can edit your site with you. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
